The Winds of Change

So, this post is somewhat two-fold in purpose! Firstly, you may or may not have noticed an absence on my part during the last couple months; in part due to a slightly heavier schedule this year. Sometimes, other things just take priority, and I hope you understand! Three (or more) things you can look for coming up:

1. More consistent, less frequent posting. I’m thinking at most four posts a month, likely less depending on how life is. The way it will work is–two different posts will alternate back and forth: the inspirational articles grounded in God’s word and the new fictional series I’ve been working on for a little bit, Foxcroft. But really, the ability to post casually is best at this point in time.

2. I may eventually post on a couple different things, not associated or similar to anything we’ve done in the past. I want to be a little more personal on here, and sometimes, that may just be me popping in and blurting out a couple things that are amazing! White chocolate, for KING & COUNTRY, Moeraki Beach, 2169, literally anything! Be prepared. 😉

3. Autumn has landed!! Red and golden leaves, gorgeous morning sunrises, pumpkin rolls, fall get-togethers, hot cocoa, soccer (for me at least XD), special times with friends and family, curling up by the campfire with a good book–you’ve gotta hand it to Autumn, right?

And this leads me to my second thought! Change: we’ve all experienced it, but is it good or bad? There’s good change, there’s bad change, and then there’s just change; and that’s scary at times. The thing is, God uses change for the best! I mean, look at Paul. His name used to be Saul, one of the top persecutors of Christians in his day. But God tapped him on the shoulder and said, “No, this way.” And that led Saul, then changed to Paul, on a journey from the warpath to the mission of a lifetime.

God is in the good, the bad, and every change we got though, whatever it may be. He’s leading us through it just to lead us to him. Sometimes the path that’s best for us leads through something we may not like, but that doesn’t mean that turning back is the best option. All we need to do while we wait for Him to show His plan is to seek Him above all else, even when the winds of change surround us, even when seasons fade into the next season.
